HUNDREDS of people turned out to witness the Bottesford Easter egg run last Sunday, which raised £255 for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and collected 1,700 eggs.
The event, which started 22 years ago, was the biggest success yet, with 671 bikers involved on the trail from Bottesford to The Meres Leisure Centre, in Grantham.
Organiser John Bartlett said: “I certainly wasn’t expecting that many people, it was absolutely brilliant. “
The eggs will be distributed throughout the area by the Salvation Army.
