ACCOMMODATION provided by Grantham College has been assessed as ‘outstanding’ across the board in a recent Ofsted inspection.
An inspector spent three days at the college in late March to meet with students and staff, and to inspect all aspects provided by the college to its residential students.
He found that the college provides them with “exceptionally high standards of welfare support and ongoing improvements to their accommodation”.
In the report, he added: “Significant further development to college service areas that provide emotional and health related support, access to enrichment activities and the promotion of equality and diversity underpin the overall outstanding quality of the service provided to all learners.”
Occupancy rates at the college have risen from 35 per cent in 2009 to now being at full capacity.
College principal Linda Houtby said she was “highly delighted” with the inspector’s findings.
She added: “I would like to thank staff, students, parents and employers for their ongoing support as this was vital in maintaining the success of the college’s residential services.”
