Children at National Junior School, Grantham, dressed as ancient Egyptians on Friday as part of a Living History Day.
The Year 4 pupils wore a variety of costumes as did staff and some parents. As part of their Egyptian project the pupils have been making canopic jars, death masks and jewellery, and learning to write hieroglyphics. Six children from each class have also been ‘mummified’!
Head of Year 4 Sarah Eade said: “They have made a fantastic effort. They are very enthusiastic historians.”
