Open day at college is a good chance for potential students to see course options

ENROLMENT for places on courses offered by Grantham College is still ongoing.

A range of courses and vocational qualifications remain open to potential students looking to attend the college - but only until Monday, October 1.

Courses available include the traditional English, mathematics and sciences, as well as the less traditional animal care, equine, public services and apprenticeships.

Construction, engineering and health and social care have been areas which have seen strong numbers at Grantham College with students gaining hands-on experience from industry experienced staff.

Principal Linda Houtby said: “There is never a better time to study at Grantham College. Our results for A-level and BTECs for the last academic year show that students who study at Grantham College go on to a great future either in higher education or employment.”

Any students who did not achieve GCSE English and mathematics at grade D or above are able to re-sit their exams free of charge.

Students travelling from outside Grantham may be able to get help with travel expenses. For more on this, contact director of learner support Linda Wale on 01476 404376.

l An open evening will take place at Grantham College on Monday, between 5pm and 8pm. Visitors will be able to talk to the student finance officer, careers adviser and curriculum staff.
