Grantham’s boys’ grammar school almost hit the 100 per cent mark in this year’s set of GCSE results.
Headmaster of King’s School Frank Hedley has heaped praise upon not only students but also parents and teachers, after 99 per cent of students achieved five or more grades, including maths and English.
Forty-nine of subject entries attained grades A* or A.
Headmaster Frank Hedley said: “External examinations are getting tougher and the boys have responded well to the increased level of challenge.
“I am extremely proud of the boys, they have worked hard and they deserve every success. I am particularly grateful for the tremendous support provided by teaching staff and parents.”
This year the top achieving students are: Nicholas Farrington with 11 A*s and one A; Cameron Simmons with 11 A*s and one A; William Lumsdon with 10 A*s and two As; William Cooper with nine A*s and three As; Luke Harrison with nine A*s and three As; Henry Dakin with nine A*s, two As and one B; and Ellis Hill with nine A*s, two As and one B.
