COLLEGE students were rewarded at an awards ceremony on Thursday evening.

Grantham College held its annual awards ceremony before over 250 guests, including award winners, their families and friends, local dignitaries and sponsors.

Special guests included the college’s curriculum manager and table tennis coach Alex Perry, regional co-ordinator for Children and Young People’s Legacy 2012 Gaynor Nash and Grantham College student and Olympic torchbearer Tracey Lamb.

Speeches were given by the special guests while the audience was treated to entertainment from Grantham College students. Performing arts student Danielle Thomas sang ‘On My Own’ from Les Miserables and the college’s newly-formed choir performed M People’s ‘Proud’.

College principal Linda Houtby said: “The highlight of the college academic year is the annual awards ceremony where the college celebrates the success of all its students and dedication of its staff. The evening was particularly memorable this year.”
