Have your say

My daughter nearly got run over by a car last Monday as it pulled off the path from the opposite side of the road from Harrowby Infant School, in New Beacon Road. Even the lovely lollipop lady stood there in shock at such a piece of mindless and dangerous driving.

My girl has just started at the school so I have no idea if parking has always been an issue but it clearly needs addressing before a child or parent does get seriously hurt or worse.
I myself park up Gorse Road where there is ample parking for those who are not too lazy to walk and I believe all parents need educating about the dangers of parking on the path opposite the school AND on the zigzag lines!
This picture shows how bad it is, taken last Wednesday at 3pm. One child even went out into the road on his scooter to pass the vehicles before his mother screamed at him.
The person who owns the Chinese take away was telling drivers not to park carelessly as its dangerous and he also has deliveries but all I heard from the parents was abuse at him for there being nowhere to park.
