A SCHOOL was chosen to receive a special visit from a furry character this week.

Wilbur, Lincs FM’s teddy mascot, paid pupils of St Sebastian’s Primary School a visit on Tuesday as part of the radio station’s ‘Get Fit with Wilbur Week’.

The Great Gonerby school was one of a handful chosen out of those across the county to host the special visit, which also included some of the station’s presenters.

Headteacher Marina Faulkner said: “Everyone was delighted to be chosen. The highlight of Wilbur’s visit was a super ‘Zumba’ dance session led by Jordan and Dan from Lincs FM, and of course Wilbur.

“Each child was given a pedometer and the school received a number of games and fun activities for the children to enjoy.

“Everyone had a wonderful time.”

The healthy activities were sponsored by NHS Lincolnshire.
