CHILDREN and staff at Great Wood Farm Early Years Centre in Boothby Pagnell are “thrilled” with a grade of ‘outstanding’ following a recent Ofsted inspection.
Inspectors who visited in February described the nursery as a “highly stimulating, warm and welcoming environment” that allows children to achieve their targets.
The nursery received top grades for every aspect of the inspection, which covered overall effectiveness, leadership and management, quality of provision and outcomes for children.
Particular praise was reserved for the ‘forest school’ facilities at the centre, offering children chance to learn in an outdoor environment.
Inspectors noted that improvements suggested in the last inspection had been completed and that further work has been done to improve the facilities.
Further suggestions for improvement included completing work on the home environment for babies.
Co-owner Julie Saxty said: We’re all very proud and delighted with the report”.
