RAF flying students took a break from regular duties at RAF Cranwell lastTuesday to take part in community work at Huntingtower Primary School.

The opportunity to spend a day at the school, constructing fencing around pathways, was taken as part of an fresh increase in outreach into the community.

Acting pilot officer Paul Atkin said of the experience: “It’s good to come down and do this, otherwise the caretaker would need to do it all himself.

“We came down at eight-thirty this morning and we feel like we’ve done a hard days work, definitely!”
