THOUSANDS of vouchers have been donated to a secondary school which will allow new equipment to be bought for lessons.
More than 12,500 Tesco for Schools and Clubs vouchers have been handed by the supermarket to Sir William Robertson High School, in Welbourn. They were donated by shoppers to the store in Sleaford.
The school’s cover supervisor Helen Giddings said: “I would like to thank people for donating their vouchers. Usually, we only get between three and four thousand.”
Mrs Giddings will cash in the vouchers to buy an evacuation pack for the history department, a digital camera for the special needs department, and resources for design and technology.
She said: “I think the vouchers are very valuable to schools. We can buy things we would have to pay for otherwise.”
Parents and teachers have also donated 4,800 vouchers.
