A meeting to discuss road safety plans for the road outside St Anne’s School in Grantham has been rearranged.

The closed meeting was arranged for tomorrow evening (Tuesday) at St Anne’s Church but an alternative venue has now been arranged as the original meeting was “misrepresented as a public meeting”.

Organiser Charmaine Morgan, a county and district councillor, said design options for the road would be discussed at the rearranged meeting, with a view to having a lollipop person reinstated. Any proposals from that meeting will go to a full and public consultation and the results of this will go forward to a meeting of the Lincolnshire County Council planning committee in January.

Coun Morgan will meet with highways officers, a former lollipop lady who worked at St Anne’s School and a representative of St Anne’s Church Hall.
