A COLOURFUL poster advertising this weekend’s Grantham Art Fair was designed by a talented student at Grantham College.

Victoria Kincarr was announced the overall winner, beating her fellow students on the Level 2 diploma in art and design course.

The students were given a brief by Grantham Art Group, asking them to create a poster on the theme of ‘Grantham’.

Students then came up with a few ideas before selecting their final idea to be made into a poster and presenting them to the art group.

Five of the students’ artwork was shortlisted before Victoria was announced as victorious. Her creative design, which depicts an apple, can be seen on the Guildhall Arts Centre website as well as on promotional materials advertising the event.

Victoria said: “I enjoyed representing Grantham College to the best I could, when I found out my poster was the winning one I was really pleased with myself.”

Course leader Wendy Turner said: “The whole group enjoyed the experience of working to a live project brief.”

l Grantham Art Fair is on this weekend at the Guildhall Arts Centre, 10am-4pm.

Admission is free.
