A coffee morning at a cafe run by Grantham College students raised money for a good cause.
Items made by students from the complex needs group at the college were snapped up by cafe customers, raising £100 for Grantham Hopsice.
Janie McCormick, fund-raiser for St Barnabas Grantham Hospice, went along to cafe.com in Hornsby Road on the Earlesfield estate to collect the donation from cafe manager Tracey Parkes.
Tracey said: “The students worked really hard to make a range of items for sale, including jams, cards, picture frames and decorations and we also had a tombola.
“The handmade items were very attractive and were popular with the customers.”
The cafe is operated by Grantham College and provides work placements for some of its students. It is open during term-time from 9am to 3pm, Momnday to Friday.
