Thursday, 2.50pm - A WIND measuring mast installed near Bottesford by a wind farm developer is being dismantled today after the firm failed in its bid to build 10 turbines at the site.Infinergy is removing the anenometer mast which was installed at the Thackson's Well site in the Vale of Belvoir in 2007.

The masts are used to measure wind speed and strength in preparation for planning applications for wind farms.

The firm was denied planning permission to build turbines at the site following a planning appeal at the end of last year.
