Thursday, 10.30am - STUMBLING into a parked car caused a man to lose his temper and use his crutches to smash its windows.Karl Lambley, 35, of Great Northern Court, Grantham, pleaded guilty to causing 400 of damage to the Mercedes at Grantham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The court heard how a neighbour called police on September 11 after watching Lambley damage the car and officers paid his home a visit.
Jill Derby, prosecuting, said: "He told officers it was something he had done without thinking.
"He said he had been shopping and he stumbled into the car and lost his temper, and he apologised. He offered to pay for the damage at that time and compensation has been paid."
Rory Macmillan, defending, said Lambley was irritable due to suffering from insomnia for two days, plus he was on medication for another ailment.
Lambley was given six months' conditional discharge.
