Monday, 2.30pm - HUNDREDS of bikers rode into Grantham yesterday bearing 1,000 Christmas gifts for needy children.More than 350 members of the Nottingham Triumph Owners Motorcyclye Club and friends made for a stunning sight as their convoy stretched along the A52 from Bottesford into Grantham.
The bikers were taking part in the 19th annual Toy Run, which left The Red Lion at Bottesford.
They rode through town and up to The Meres leisure centre in Trent Road where they met the Salvation Army, who will distribute the Christmas gifts to children in the area.
Organiser John Bartlett, who also organises an Easter Egg Run in spring, said: "It was a fantastic turn out considering it was such a cold day.
"There were people out all along the route to see us ride into Grantham.
"We hope we've managed to spread some Christmas cheer to youngsters in the area."
Did you take any pictures of the toy run? We would love to see them and possibly publish them on our website and in the Journal. Click here to send your pictures.
