Campaigners begin another anti-wind farm fight
Tuesday, 1.30pm - ANTI-wind farm campaigners will deliver 2,500 newsletters to homes in the Vale of Belvoir over Christmas to gather support for their campaign against the proposed Palmer's Hollow wind farm.
Tuesday, 1.30pm - ANTI-wind farm campaigners will deliver 2,500 newsletters to homes in the Vale of Belvoir over Christmas to gather support for their campaign against the proposed Palmer's Hollow wind farm.Members of BLOT - Belvoir Locals Opposing Turbines - will deliver letters and posters telling people how to object to Ridgewind's plans to build eight turbines near Bottesford and Normanton.
The campaign will centre on Bottesford, Normanton, Easthorpe and Muston.
The group, which successfully fought plans for the Thackson's Well wind farm less than half-a-mile away, has called a public meeting for Wednesday, January 7.
It will be held in Bottesford Village Hall at 7.30pm and residents are invited to ask questions about the development and BLOT's campaign plans.
Ridgewind submitted plans for the wind farm to Melton Borough Council last week.
Members of the public have until Friday, January 16 to send their comments about the proposed development to the council.
