Wednesday, 2pm - WIND farm developer Ridgewind says it will press ahead with a project to build turbines near Bottesford despite plans for Thackson's Well wind farm less than half-a-mile away being thrown out this week. The decision has not deterred the Oxon-based firm from submitting an application for planning permission at the Palmer's Hollow site, near Beacon Hill.
Project manager Ben Moore said: "We are still looking to make an application imminently.
"There were a lot of positives in the Thackson's Well inspector's report in terms of the need for wind energy within the region."
When an application is submitted, it will be considered by Melton Borough Council, which was a consultee in the Thackson's Well planning application and made a formal objection to the plans.
