Thursday, 4.30pm - A HORSE which has been diagnosed with epilepsy could be put down if a new home isn't found for it soon.Magic, which is looked after by Journal advertising representative Emma Anthony, was found to have epilepsy recently after suffering a series of fits.
Her diagnosis means she can never be ridden again.
Emma, who loans Magic from her owner, will now have to give her back as she cannot be ridden, but the owner has said nine-year-old Magic will have to be put down if a new home isn't found.
Emma said: "She's perfectly fit and healthy apart from the epilepsy. She is really friendly and cheeky and would make a fantastic companion for another horse.
"I'm absolutely devastated by her diagnosis and would hate to see her have to be put down just because she can't work.
"It seems such a waste of a life. We would never do that to a person just because they had epilepsy. I would be so happy if we could find her a happy home where she could live out the rest of her days."
Anyone who can provide a home for Magic should contact Emma on 07875 377059.
