Wednesday, 12.45pm - FINALLY some good news for drivers contending with Grantham's traffic hell.No more overnight or weekend closures will be needed on the A52 between Barrowby and Bingham until a multi-million pound reconstruction project is close to completion in May, according to the Highways Agency.

Instead there will be two-way traffic signals controlling traffic along the 15-mile stretch of road overnight.

The system will be in place from 8pm on Sundays to Thursdays and from 10pm on Fridays. They will be removed by 6am each morning.

The agency has confirmed more road closures will be needed when the scheme is near completion and they will be confirmed nearer the time.
