Benches, bins, trees, lamposts and even a memorial archway to soldiers who fought in the First World War have been repeatedly vandalised in the last month.
%%Could not get body element policy for VersionedContentId(1.11060.UNDEFINED)Now police are stepping up patrols in the area and appealing for the public's help in catching the vandal.
Pc Pete Nettleton said: "We are taking this very seriously. This graffiti artist is no Banksy - it is outright criminal damage and something we need to put a stop to.
"I can't believe they want to cause damage like this, especially in a building which is honouring young men who fought for our country.
"Someone out there must know who this person is. Their tag is quite distinctive and they might recognise it from artwork this person has done at school or college."
Pc Nettleton has warned that anyone suspected of carrying spray paint or having anything to do with the graffiti will be stopped and searched and arrested if necessary.
He has also urged the public to contact police if they see anyone spraying graffiti or acting suspiciously in the park.
If you have information about the graffiti artist contact Pc Nettleton (Tel: 07900 151114) or Grantham Police (Tel: 01476 402222) or speak to any of the PCSOs patrolling the park.
