Wednesday, 3.55pm - A MOTHER and her two daughters will march in London against animal testing - and are appealing for people from Grantham to join them.Abbie, Christina and Sharon Bengston of Colsterworth will join the march to mark World Day for Animals in Laboratories on April 25.

Animal welfare is something the Bengston family have always been passionate about.

Abbie Bengston, 30, of School Lane, Colsterworth, said: "My sister works for an animal welfare charity and it is something we all feel very strongly about. All three of us are vegans.

"I know it is a very sensitive subject for a lot of people but most people are animal-lovers and I think the march will have a lot of support."

Sharon Bengston goes into schools to speak for Animal Aid and educate children on the importance of animal welfare.

Christina Bengston, 27, said: "Experiments on animals need to stop now - we should judge how future generations judge us.

"Vivisection is unscientific, does not benefit people and seriously hurts animals and human character."

Abbie, Christina and Sharon plan to organise a bus from Grantham to take them down to London for the march.

If anyone is interested in going along, they can contact Abbie on 01476 861917.
