MR George Raines, of Rochester Drive, Grantham, has died at St Edmunds Nursing Home. He was 87.
MR George Raines, of Rochester Drive, Grantham, has died at St Edmunds Nursing Home. He was 87.Mr Raines was born at Grantham and his working life was spent in engineering.
He was a member of Grantham Cycling Club for many years and he was also a member of the Magic Circle, entertaining people at parties and private functions. He spent many happy years with the Harrowby Singers.
The funeral service was held at Grantham Crematorium Chapel, conducted by the Rev Jill Potts.
Mourners included: Janet Stafford, Mrs M. Smith, Mr R. Smith, Natalie Price, June Lehair, Mr A. Sands, Joan and Frank Belson, Bill and Doris Evans, Rosie Turner, David Turner, Pauline Morgan, Mr and Mrs Hodson, Mary Edwards, Mr and Mrs V. J. Bachelor, Mrs J. Price, Mrs V. Lindsay, Mrs J. Johns and Mr P. Davey.
Funeral arrangements were by David Holland Funeral Directors, London Road, Grantham.
