Wednesday, 12.10pm - A 2M resurfacing and restructuring project on a 13-mile stretch of the A52 outside Grantham is almost complete, but one more weekend closure is needed before it can be finished. The road will be closed between Barrowby and Bingham from 10pm on Friday, April 25 until 6am on Monday, April 28.

Traffic will be diverted from the Saxondale roundabout at Bingham northbound up the A46 to Newark, then the A1 southbound to the junction with the A52 at Barrowby, or vice-versa.

This closure will be in place to allow lay-bys to be resurfaced and road signs and markings to be renewed.

Night-time two-way traffic signals, between 8pm and 6am, have been in place since Tuesday and will continue until Saturday morning.

From next week, these will continue to be in place throughout the week.

Throughout the whole of the remainder of the scheme a 40mph speed limit and narrow lanes will continue to be in place 24 hours a day.

The work is expected to be complete some time in May.
