Thursday, 10.20am - BUSES will replace many East Midlands Trains services due to run from Grantham Railway Station on Sunday, for the third consecutive weekend.Revised timetables will be operating after the majority of Nottingham-based train drivers decided to make themselves unavailable to work over an employment dispute.

Some trains and replacement buses will operate on the Norwich to Liverpool and Nottingham to Skegness routes, which stop at Grantham.

Passengers travelling between Grantham, Peterborough and Norwich will be allowed to travel on other operators' services. Those who have tickets but decide not to travel on Sunday can claim a full refund or use their ticket tomorrow (Saturday) or Monday.

East Midlands Trains' managing director Tim Shoveller said: "We are obviously disappointed that this group of staff have once again made themselves unavailable for work on Sunday.

"However, we've been working very hard this week to draw up a plan to deliver a robust service which results in us being able to run more train services than we have been able to on the last two Sundays. This is clearly a step in the right direction for our passengers."
