Why she had to go

I will never know

She was like an angel

Stuck in the wrong place

with such a pretty face

Her brown hair, her lips

the way she moved her graceful hips

Her personality shone

Making up for those who had none

Her big eyes, full of surprise

She was kind, she was a friend

and her love always she would send

She slipped away

Gave up her fight

Wanted to go to where it was light

Ride ont he starts

and watch from afar

She said goodbye, I held her hand

She tried to hold on

with all her might

but it just wasn't right

She slipped away

It wasn't meant to be

and that is how she left me

She had a smile on her face

She was never far from grace

I kissed her cheek,

then I cried

because I can't believe she died.

That Night

I remember the night at the beach

While people were asleep

We walked hand inhand

Across the golden sand

I had you, you had me

There was nowhere in the world

we'd rather be

The sound of the sea

Was a comfort to me

The starts were out, the sky was dark

There was nothing that could keep us apart

The feel of your lips

Your hands touching me

I knew we were meant to be

We made love under the night's sky

Far away from the watchful eye

After we lay in each other's arms

And I knew I would come to no harm

That was the night,

I knew I loved you

and always would do.

Empty Valley

There's nowhere to run

There's nowhere to hide

In the valley below

There is no light

The grass is not green

and the flowers do not grow

The trees are still

because the wind never blows

The rain does not pour

The sun does not shine

There are no seasons

There is no sense of time

No birds sing, no crickets chirp

Nothing is alive beacuse it all died

This is a place that no one goes

You can smell pain in the air

A smell of despair

A place of dark

A place of lost hearts

The black rose grows here

you should not go near

for it is not safe my dear

People died here, people cried here

Souls departed and wars started

Blood turned to poison

Things turned bad

The valley is a place

where people were sad

Troubled times, passion crimes

People ran out of time

A place full of fear

Throughout the years

This is where people fell

and went through hell

in the empty valley

Just You

Hold my hand, fingers entwined

together forever

through the good, through the bad

You're all I'll ever have

We could fall, lose it all

face our fears, sit in tears

but with you by my side

love conquers all
