Sunday, 8am - CHILDREN at Orston Primary School have been getting in touch with nature in their new eco-garden which opened recently. The outdoor learning space has been specially created for the school's youngest children. It has climbing frames, a mock road for cycling and dozens of planters and pots where pupils will grow vegetables.
International showjumper Michael Whittaker, who lives locally, opened the garden during the school's open day for current and prospective parents.
Headteacher Sarah Moore said: "What's special about this space is that it enhances our outdoor area and complements the indoor space.
"We think it's so important that the outdoor environment is as super as the indoor environment."
The school is considering installing more outdoor learning equipment for older children.
