Three are arrested as police search for lorry slash thieves

Friday, 11.15am - A MOBILE police unit patrolling the A1 after a recent spate of thefts from lorries arrested three men on suspicion of going equipped for theft.

Friday, 11.15am - A MOBILE police unit patrolling the A1 after a recent spate of thefts from lorries arrested three men on suspicion of going equipped for theft.Officers stopped offenders acting suspiciously in a layby on the A1 at Foston at about 9.40pm last night.

A 27-year-old man from Leeds, a 39-year-old man from Leeds, and a 17-year-old from Bradford were arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft and criminal damage.

They are currently helping police with their enquiries at Grantham Police Station.
