Three businesswomen from Grantham will feature in a new reality TV series about an eccentric couple who turn their lavish country home in Nottinghamshire into a hotel. The women featured in the show are Lisa Whitehead from Calma Therapies and Natural Healing, Blue Court; Jennette Burton, who runs Aphrodites mobile beauty and holistic therapies, and Wendy Stirling, from Waltham-on-the-Wolds, who owns natural beauty products business Botanicals.

Lisa and Jennette were asked to appear on Mayhem at the Manor – a new series following the fortunes of Timothy Hadcock-Mackay, who presented Channel 4's Time to Get Your House In Order, and Torquil Mackenzie-Buist as they open Barnby Moor Hall to paying guests.

They were drafted in to pamper the hoteliers to help them deal with the stress of their new venture.

Lisa, who is no stranger to the world of television having won The Weakest Link four years ago, said: "We were delighted to be asked to appear and had a great time pampering Tim and Torquil.

"We didn't know what to expect but just had to ignore the cameras in the end because they were there all the time.

"It should be a funny show but I'm not looking forward to seeing myself on television again."

Wendy's involvement began after Lisa and Jennette used her Botanicals range during treatments for the stars of the show.

The pair are interested in organic products and asked if Wendy would supply some of hers for use in the guests' bedrooms.

Wendy said this was an exciting boost for the business she set up only a year ago.

She said: "I was asked to send a box of products they could be filmed opening on the show.

"They will also sell a small range of products and there is a possibility they could be introduced into other hotels in the Wolsley Lodges group."

Mayhem at the Manor is due to start on the Discovery Channel at the end of August.
