Music initiative Valefest has organised a series of eight 'Music at Your Local' concerts to encourage people to visit rural pubs.
John presented an evening of country, folk and bluegrass, performing a mixture of his own songs and covers by the greats.
The next concert takes place on Monday, when The Plough at Stathern hosts covers band The Willie Voltaires and upcoming Melton talent Daniel McColgan in an evening of power anthems.
On Wednesday, August 26 an easy-listening evening takes place at The Peacock Inn in Redmile.
Jazz E3 and Grantham duo Identity Crisis will perform laid-back popular classics.
Shows start at 7.30pm and entry is free.
The shows will culminate in the Glorious Belvoir Music Festival, which takes place from September 25 to 27.
