Sunday, 2pm - MUSICIANS with a vast array of styles performed at the Journal's G:Fest 3 event this weekend.Organised in conjunction with PX Productions, the event was a showcase of some of the best and most interesting of Grantham's music scene.

The weekend of music began on Friday with a concert at the Black Dog promoted by Kirsty Scarlett.

Rock band Killed in Action, synth-pop act Party Fears 2, blues band The Bluesbursters and heavy metal band Root were on the eclectic line-up.

Shoppers and diners at Grantham's George Shopping Centre were entertained by various acts on Saturday afternoon, including singer/guitarists Del House, Dan Perry and Nick Perry, folk band Charlie's Ant and acoustic duo Identity Crisis.

In the evening the G:Fest 3 concert took place at Atrium, High Street, with stunning performances from folk singer David Steptoe, country singer Callaghan, singer/guitarist Kirsty Scarlett, Eastern European folk band MuHa, hard rock band Skullcracker and tribute act Ultra '90s.

Support acts included classical guitarist Nigel Truman, and singer/guitarists Del House and Ellie Shutie.
