Wind farm developer announces public exhibition dates

Friday, 4.10pm - DATES for two public exhibitions on one of the proposed wind farms near Grantham have been announced.ScottishPower Renewables, which is behind the plan for six turbines at Sempringham Fen, will meet the public in Billingborough and Pointon next month.

The plans will be on display and staff will be on hand to answer questions.

The exhibitions will be held at Billingborough village hall on Wednesday, March 11 and at Pointon and Sempringham village hall in Pointon the followiing day, March 12.

Both will run between 3pm and 7.30pm.

Campaign group AGAST has called two public meetings to gather support for their fight against ScottishPower Renewables' Neslam Farm wind farm and also EON's plans to build 16 turbines on Crown Estate land near Billingborough next week.

They will be held at Billingborough village hall at 7pm on Wednesday, February 25 and Friday, February 27.

The deadline for comments on the plans to be sent to South Kesteven District Council is March 13.
