Tuesday, 10.55am - BUSINESSEMEN and women visited Belvoir High School in Bottesford on Thursday to share advice with pupils on entering the world of work.Representatives from the British Geological Survey, Wilmott Dixon Cnstruction, Grantham College, Connexions and the Regional Language Network spent the day working through activities with Year 9 students to get them thinking about the skills they will need for employment.

Students were given advice on writing their curriculum vitae, interview techniques and managing budgets. They also took part in clay modelling and graphic design sessions run by Grantham College's art and design department.

Careers co-ordinator Kathy Sparham said: "We had some very positive feedback from the students who found the day useful for preparing themselves for the world of work and learning new skills, such as team building and interview techniques."
