Thursday, 6pm - PARENTS of a teenager tragically killed in a terrorist attack in Egypt have vowed to raise money every year in his name.Jacqueline Jayawardena lost her 17-year-old son Charith in the Sharm el-Sheikh suicide bombings of 2005.

The home carer, of Longcliffe Road, Grantham, plans to organise an event every year to raise money for a different charitable cause in her son's name.

Jacqueline said: "Every year I do something in memory of my son.

"He went on holiday with a friend to Egypt and the hotel was bombed. He was only 17 and was studying at Grantham College.

"I jut like to do something every year for him because I cannot do anything else for him now."

This year Jacqueline and husband Diogu have raised around 360 for Children in Need.

The pair arranged a special curry night where Jacqueline cooked some of her favourite Sri Lankan dishes.

They invited 46 friends and neighbours to come along and pay whatever they like for the meal.

Jacqueline would like to thanks her friends for their support, in particular Mr and Mrs Barnage, Mr and Mrs Percy Jayawardena, Mr and Mrs Ranasingha, Mrs Birtwistle, Mr and Mrs Botley and Mr and Mrs Samaratunga.

Children in Need night is tonight (Nov 20). For fundraising information go to www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey/fundraising
