Psychic medium saves man's life

Wednesday, 4.30pm - A LIFE-SAVING psychic medium resuscitated a man who had stopped breathing by the side of the road.Joanne Jordan, 43, of Sunningdale, Grantham, was just leaving her home when she noticed a man lying on the ground by the side of the road near the junction of Belton Lane and Green Lane.
She pulled over to help and found the man had a weak pulse and had stopped breathing.
Joanne, who works as a psychic medium, said: "I gave him mouth to mouth while a GP who had also stopped to help gave him CPR.
"On the second breath he opened his eyes- it was very weird.
"When he came round he was covered in my pink lipstick."
Joanne, a former singer, decided to learn first aid after an elderly lady collapsed and died while she was singing on stage.
Joanne said: "When I was singing on the circuit a woman was dancing and dropped dead.
"I just stared, watching while people tried to help. I felt so helpless and never wanted to feel like that again so I decided to learn first aid."
It is not the first time Joanne has used her first-aid skills in an emergency. She once helped a young boy whose foot had been run over by a car and another child who had badly cut his hand.
But the incident on Belton Lane, on Monday, October 13, was the first time she has saved someone's life.
Joanne said: "It all happened so quickly. I just jumped out of the car, asked if anyone had called 999.
"He stopped breathing and I said, "don't go anywhere sunshine, stay with us'.
"Then he came round. I asked him his name but I couldn't hear what he said."
As Joanne started giving mouth-to-mouth she tossed her glasses on to the grass verge by the side of the road. She left the scene in a hurry to make a teaching class at Grantham College and accidentally left the glasses behind.
She hopes one of the people at the scene picked them up- but she doesn't know the names of any of the people present that day
