Pubs supporting local brewers with new initiative

Moonday, 11.55am - SEVEN pubs in the Grantham area have signed up to CAMRA's Locale scheme which promotes establishments selling locally-brewed real ales.

Moonday, 11.55am - SEVEN pubs in the Grantham area have signed up to CAMRA's Locale scheme which promotes establishments selling locally-brewed real ales.The Campaign for Real Ale's new initiative aims to encourage pubs to reduce the miles their beer travels between brewery and bar and to support local brewers.

Participating in the Grantham area are The Tollemache in St Peter's Hill, The Chequers in Butchers Row, The Blue Pig in Vine Street, The Conservative Club in Castlegate, The Houblon Arms at Oasby, The Red Lion at Newton and The Cross Swords at Skillington.

CAMRA provides those taking part with pump clips, window stickers and posters to show they are an accredited Locale pub.
