Wednesday, 3.35pm - CHARITY horse riders hope to raise money to help maintain the village churches in Little Bytham, Castle Bytham, Careby and Creeton.The annual Bythams Charity Sponsored Ride raised more than 3,600 last year.

The ride takes place on Monday, May 4, in the grounds of Grimsthorpe Castle near Bourne, with a choice of three routes to pick from.

Riders can set off between 10am and 1pm. The advance fee is 15 per horse, or 20 on the day. The rides are suitable for all abilities, however under-13s must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone completing the course will receive a rosette and a prize is awarded to the person who achieves the most sponsorship.
