Thursday, 8.45am - A WELSH lothario who claims to have had 'relationships' with more than 1,000 women says Grantham ladies are the hardest to get.Clive Worth, 58, from the small Welsh village of Pontyates near Llanelli, says he made a conquest of 17-20 women from Grantham and has made a Youtube video thanking them.
He has also written a book about his love life and has been featured on the BBC.
Mr Worth said: "The ones I met from Grantham were very old-fashioned.
"I always managed to get them in the end but I usually had to take them out more than once.
"My technique would be to break open a bottle of wine and maybe play a little Scrabble, and soon they would be mine."
Chris de Burgh look-a-like, Clive, uses dating agencies on the internet to meet women.
He was banned by one agency in 2004 after dating a mother and daughter from Grantham.
He said: "I dated a 55-year-old woman and then three or four weeks later I dated a 32-year-old woman who turned out to be her daughter.
"I didn't know at the time but the mother rang me up and shouted at me down the phone. It turned out she happened to mention visiting Pontyates to her daughter and it all came out.
"That's when I got banned from the site."
Grantham women have always had a particular appeal to Clive because they play hard-to-get
Clive said: "I think that's why I liked Grantham women so much because they give me more of a challenge."
Clive says women from all over the world have visited him at his quiet village home in Wales.
He said: "They prefer to come to me. Women who meet men over the internet don't want people to know what they are doing.
"One woman came all the way from California and stayed for three weeks. I was shocked how far women are willing to travel."
Clive has two more books on the way.
He advises wannabe womanisers to tell women what they want to hear.
He said: "You've got to bluff them and put the charm on. Whatever they say they like, you say you like so they think you are compatible.
