Grantham Passage’s project to create a help centre for the homeless has been boosted by a £500 donation from the Freemasons.

Lynn Thomas and Alex Vowles from the William Peters Lodge of the Freemasons presented a cheque raised as part of the society’s new provincial benevolent fund.

Grantham Passage aim to set up a centre where the homeless can receive meals and job advice, along with practical services like washing and storage.

The £50,000 project still needs more support, and if you can help in any way, such as providing building services or fundraising, contact co-ordinator Mike Monaghan on 564809.
