Members of the public joined staff at HMP Whatton in a charity cycle, run and walk aimed at reducing instances of sexual abuse.

The event was held on Friday for the Safer Living Foundation, a body aiming to prevent further victims of sexual abuse and protect the public.

As part of its work the foundation aims to rehabilitate sexual offenders in order to reduce the likelihood of them ever re-offending.

The event, held in and around HMP Whatton, has so far raised more than £800.
