A FAMILY fund-raising day which has proved popular in the past could be scrapped next year as enthusiasm wanes.

The Knockout Challenge has been held in Grantham in each of the last two summers but organisers are struggling to get teams to enter this year’s event on June 4.

Founder of the Grantham Knockout Challenge event, Kelly Stewart of Anson Close, Grantham, said: “We are just finding the enthusiasm from previous years has diminished. It is feeling like this may be the last one.”

Kelly hopes the prospect of losing the event, which sees teams of up to ten take part in a variety of fun-filled games in the style of It’s a Knockout, will spur people to get a team entered.

Kelly said: “Unless people really get behind it then this will be the last year. If people want to have a go then they should enter quick because this could be their last chance.
