Brothers jailed for leading Grantham gang on vicious rampage

THREE brothers were part of a five-strong Grantham gang who trawled the streets looking for victims to attack.

Cameron brothers Ashley, 19, Tony, 22, and Barry, 20, all of Christchurch Road, Grantham, were sentenced to a total of 11-and-a-half years in prison for their role in a series of brutal attacks.

Jordan Vincent (also known as Jordan King), of Edinburgh Road, Grantham and Robert Smith, 18, of Kenilworth Road, Grantham, were also sentenced to three years and two years respectively.

The gang drove around looking for victims and carried out unprovoked attacks on two 15-year-old boys, a 26-year-old cyclist and a man walking home from the pub.

Injuries included fractured eye-sockets and a fractured jaw. In one of the attacks the gang used a baseball bat.

Ashley Cameron was jailed for four years after admitting five robberies and an attempted robbery.

Tony Cameron was also jailed for four years after admitting two robberies, attempted robbery and affray.

Barry Cameron was given three-and-a-half years after admitting three robberies, an attempted robbery and assault.

Jordan Vincent, 19, and Robert Smith, 18, each admitted a single charge of robbery.

Detective Constable Stuart Hoyle of Lincolnshire Police said: “These were very brutal crimes where excessive violence was used from the outset.”
