At a recent service, Pat Whyte and Ros Yates were presented with bouquets of flowers by Reverend Ian Worrall in recognition of their work.

Pat, of Grantham, has been Junior Church Co-Ordinator for the last 25 years and Ros, of Barkston, has spent the last 29 years as church secretary.

Both Pat and Ros are continuing to volunteer at Harrowby Lane Methodist Church, but in different roles.

Ros, who is a church steward, said: “It has been very interesting with eight ministers during that time. It has been quite time consuming but I have loved it. It is a big part of our lives.”

Both Ros’s daughters were baptised at the church and her husband Stephen is a senior IT technician there.

Ros, pictured left, and Pat both also worked in the Sunday School together.
