An open day tomorrow will support disability sport at Grantham Tennis club.
The Disability Tennis Open Day on Saturday (July 16) will give visitors the chance learn about disability sport at the club as well as enjoy stalls, games, a tombola and raffle.
The day starts at 10am with sporting activities for all to enjoy. These include:
11am-noon Deaf tennis coaching session
2pm - 4pm Wheelchair tennis coaching session
4pm - 6pm Learning disability coaching session
4pm - 5pm Grantham Ability Sports Club disability circuits session
There will also be a visually impaired tennis coaching session and amputee tennis trial session.
Fund-raising events include a Whitlock’s teasing tennis quiz sheet, Splat the Rat and skittles, tombola, charity auction and raffle. There will be a range of remedial massage therapies available throughout the day by Exhale Therapy. Bacon and sausage baps will be available for breakfast.
In the evening there will be a disco, live music and a bar from 7pm. Donations on the door.
All proceeds go towards equipment for the club’s disability projects.
