A Grantham business has raised £1,000 for the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance to coincide with two special anniversaries.

To celebrate the Parker Hannifin centennial and the first anniversary of its Mobile Hydraulic Systems Division Europe, the Londonthorpe Road-based hydraulic equipment supplier held an employee barbecue lunch and social event.

Executive secretary Lorraine Robertson said: “Indeed this was a huge success with everyone. We all appreciated the attendance of Sandi from the air ambulance and the team from the Grantham Fire Station who came and shared safety information for both the workplace and at home. We cannot thank all of them enough.”

The theme of the event was health and safety – each employee received a gift of a travel mug and a travel safety kit.

Lorraine added: “We have presented short amateur videos from each of our Mobile Hydraulic Systems Division (MSDE) locations across Europe, to all our division employees, approximately 600, which again shares the health and safety messages from the division team and location employees.

“We are very pleased to have raised £1,000 for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, nominated by our employees. Oh, and the barbecue was fantastic!
