Community radio station Gravity FM will be broadcasting live throughout the day from Morrisons tomorrow (Saturday) as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.

A whole host of presenters from Gravity will be in the supermarket broadcasting and celebrating live on air from 9am through to 5pm.

The schedule includes volunteers of all ages, some having been involved since the first broadcast in 1997. Special commemoration mugs, bumper stickers and souvenirs will be available to the public among the many fun features planned.

Hidden somewhere in the store will be a star prize for a lucky shopper to find. The winner will be treated to a pair of VIP tickets for Truckfest at the Peterborough Showground starting on April 30. The VIP winners will get priority arena seating and be able to meet and mix with the stars of the TV show Ice Road Truckers, Todd Dewey and Lisa Kelly, plus Storage Hunters’ Jesse McClure. Two pairs of standard tickets will also be awarded during the day.

Throughout the day shoppers will have the opportunity to request their favourite songs while enjoying a slice of the birthday cake and meet Gravity FM presenters and volunteers who will be helping to bag pack in a fund-raising effort for the station.

Anyone wanting to volunteer for Gravity FM can chat to members and take application forms.

The live schedule will start at 9am with an introduction from station directors Barry Clayson and Andy McCall.
