Grantham sports personality Rory Underwood completed a daring skydive to raise money for a national military charity.
Former England rugby ace Underwood, who lives just outside the town, made a tandem parachute jump, helping to raise £40,000 for The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home in Worthing, Sussex.
Underwood won 85 England caps while serving in the RAF. He switched to a role at RAF Cranwell in 1995.
He took the role of ambassador for the skydive event near Brackley, Northamptonshire.
More than 60 people took part in the event to support the hospital home’s services for disabled ex-servicemen and women.
Rory said: “Having spent 18 years flying with the RAF it was an honour to jump alongside those who have raised funds for disabled ex-Servicemen and women.”
