Cadets from St John Ambulance gave out life-saving tips to shoppers in Grantham’s The George Centre last Saturday.
In total, Cadets from the Grantham unit demonstrated first aid to 98 people, whil Badgers were able to show a range of essential techniques to 38 people.
Alison Cook, manager of the Badger unit, said: “I’m thrilled that the Cadets and Badgers not only had the opportunity to teach members of the public some essential life-saving skills but were also able to exceed the targets set on both their challenges during the day.
“I’d like to thank everyone who helped make the day a success, not least the George Centre for giving us the shop unit as a demonstration space. That’s almost 140 people now equipped with skills which could mean that they are the difference between a life lost and a life saved.”
