Guests of a Grantham care home were given an insight into dementia at an open evening.
A talk called A Journey Through Dementia explained the stages of the illness and showed how a range of activities can stimulate the mind.
Members of the audience were encouraged to attempt tasks as part of the session and were able to ask questions.
The talk followed a violin duet and was part of Dementia Awareness Week activities at Avery Lodge Care Home.
The evening was supported by members of Manthorpe Community Centre.
The care home assembled a large wine and chocolate hamper which was raffled and raised £88 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
